EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw several short passes during the team’s warmup period before a game Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, nearly five weeks after tearing his left Achilles tendon.Wearing a white long-sleeved T-shirt, black sweatpants and a multicolored Jets cap, the 39-year-old Rodgers walked around without the aid of crutches or a walking boot and had a catch with cornerback Sauce Gardner — who is out for the game with a concussion. The four-time NFL MVP, who’s on the injured reserve list, stepped into a few of his throws and put some weight on his left leg while tossing the 15-yard passes. He also chatted with several teammates and coaches on the field while the Jets warmed up.Rodgers rejoined his teammates for the second time since being injured four snaps into his debut with the Jets on Sept. 11. CHICAGO (AP) — Kirk Cousins threw for a touchdown, Jordan Hicks returned a fumble 42 yards for a score and the Minnesota Vikings knocked Justin Fields out of the game in beating the Chicago Bears 19-13 on Sunday. The Vikings (2-4) made enough plays without injured star receiver Justin Jefferson to shake off a loss to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and win for the second time in three games.Fields was sacked four times and exited with a right hand injury early in the third quarter, and the Bears (1-5) lost again after stopping a 14-game slide at Washington last week.Fields seemed to be favoring his hand following a third-down sack by Danielle Hunter on Chicago’s first possession of the second half. The Bears punted, and Fields headed to the locker room.Rookie Tyson Bagent came in and got strip-sacked by safety Josh Metellus on Chicago’s next drive. Hicks scooped up the loose ball near the left sideline and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown, making it 19-6.Bagent — undra...

New Orleans got to the Houston 24 on the next drive, but Carr’s throw on fourth-and-10 was intercepted by Steven Nelson with 21 seconds left to secure the win.Carr threw for a season-high 353 yards and a touchdown but often couldn’t...

Happy Sunday, South Florida!Hopefully everyone enjoyed the weekend despite the soggy and cloudy start for some!  The second half of the weekend saved it for us as skies finally cleared and we enjoyed a break from the rain. A fall front will be pushing through South Florida and is forecast to clear the area by this evening. Behind it, we will finally get a taste of fall as much nicer conditions return to the forecast. Something we have been waiting for for months after a record hot summer in South Florida! And it seems fitting as today the Rainy Season comes to a close!Once the above-mentioned front clears South Florida this evening, milder air will begin to move into our area.  The air mass will be much drier as well so humidity levels will be lower than what we have seen in quite some time. Temperatures tonight will also be comfortable in the 60s for mainland areas of South Florida.  Behind the front, skies will gradually clear late tonight and a Northwest breeze will pick up at ti...
