With the red carpets rolled out and Hollywood celebrities on the scene, Seminole Hard Rock Casino opened its doors to South Floridians who want to gamble on sports, roulette, or craps. The celebration on the opening day follows a pause after two years of legal battles between the Seminole tribe and the state of Florida. It is the first time in the state of Florida that guests can enjoy Vegas-style tables and a week-long lesson for the crap table. The festivities included a spin of the roulette wheel and roll of the craps. Local celebrities like Los Pichy Boys and Willy Chirino joined company and tribe leaders in the Thursday morning celebrations. Chris Osceola, a Seminole Tribe council member, spoke about the lengths the tribe went to get this major victory in sports gambling. “We had a fight. I remember going to Tallahassee back in April 2021. That’s the day when Chairman Osceola and Gov. DeSantis signed that compact,” said Osceola. “We left there cheering ...

He sat out four games earlier in the season but he hasn’t been able to settle it down.“It’s a lower body injury that’s been there since training camp. I think at one point we gave him five days off and it was doing well, but the nine games in 16 days, with just the repetitive demands on the body, it’s come back and we’re going to give him a little extended time to try and nip this for the rest of the year,” said coach Jim Montgomery. With Forbort out for a good chunk of time, rookie Mason Lohrei was recalled from Providence.Forbort meanwhile, led the B’s in penalty kill ice time average at 3:34, with Brandon...

The Japanese distributor Bitters End said Thursday that the Christopher Nolan film will play in the country’s theaters in 2024.In a statement, Bitters End wrote that the decision was made, “following months of thoughtful dialogue associated with the subject matter and acknowledging the particular sensitivity for us Japanese.”“Oppenheimer” is about J.
